The FSC Community Program has been designed to focus on the engagement of our Year 9 students not only in school, but also our wider school community. Students develop skills to undertake the challenging Prom Bushwalk during Semester 1. Through the Sustainability program students manage a kitchen garden and create dishes for afternoon tea. In term 4 the sustainability group head to Melbourne to help out in the homeless hostel. In the Lifesaving Program, student have the opportunity to work with the Waratah Bay Surf Lifesaving Club to gain a Bronze Medallion. Students participate in a number of presentations from guest speaks ranging in topics from Sports, Health and career choices.

The core task that students complete while undertaking these activities is to document their personal growth through the completion of a structured Learning Portfolio.
